What is Sequestration, when can we expect it to end?

You. Sequestration is basically a tax on all of our Medicare revenue. Every time we get an EOB from Medicare, there's 2% that's removed from the payment, and that's called sequestration. It was put in legislation in 2011. It started in 2013. It was supposed to end last year in 2021. Unfortunately, all of the bills that passed in the last year, like the infrastructure bill and the omnibus bill that just passed at the end of the year, they extended sequestration. So sequestration, instead of ending in 2021, is now not due to end until mid 2030, 211 years from the initial date. And.
